Workingdays

About Workingdays.info

Workingdays.info is a free tool for calculating working days, public holidays, and week calendars across 28 European Union countries. It is designed for HR professionals, accountants, project managers, and anyone who needs accurate business day data for payroll, deadline planning, or contract calculations.

What we provide

  • Working day counts per month, quarter, and year
  • Full public holiday calendars with dates and names
  • Week-by-week calendars showing ISO week numbers
  • Year-over-year comparison of working days
  • Coverage for 28 EU countries in 9 languages, years 2025–2028

Data sources

Holiday data is computed using the open-source date-holidays library, which aggregates official government and ISO sources for each country. Working day counts follow the standard Monday–Friday work week and exclude public holidays that fall on weekdays.

Bank holidays (regional or optional holidays that may or may not close businesses) are shown separately so you can make the right decision for your specific situation.

Coverage

We cover all 27 EU member states plus the United Kingdom: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and Great Britain.

The project

Workingdays.info is an independent project built and maintained by Samuli Hokkanen. It is a companion to businessdayscalculator.info, which lets you calculate business days between two specific dates.

The site is built with Next.js and deployed on Vercel. No user accounts, no data collection beyond anonymous analytics.
